You should be fine riding anywhere with that setup. Add the fact that lake michigan is freaking cold all the time, you'll be fine.
From what I've read, I get the impression that you might consider running dual cooling if you ride in water that's 85° and warmer with a heavily modified engine.

Single cooling up here in Canada. Unless you have a big bore or stroker, I wouldn't bother with it.

Just another bandwagon mod everyone started doing, IMO.

Some people actually need it, while others just need an excuse to do another mod.

its good insurance for getting a clogged line....i actually clogged both lines in some rather large surf (one was probally already clogged) and i couldnt just turn around and come in cause the shorebreak was double overhead breaking on dry sand.i had to ride around for 5min or so before i could make it to the beach..it didnt help me in that case but if the one wasnt already clogged it could have saved my motor if i wasnt able to get in as fast as i did...its cheap insurance but its not necessary

well, that bandwagon is about 20 years old or so.

when the engine compartment is cooler, your engine can make more power with a cooler engine compartment.

can't you go too cold and cause problems too?

on my Race SXR, I have it set up with split cooling to try and keep the pipe as cool as possible to keep the heat down, does it help a whole lot? probably not much, but with stock class every little thing can add up to a good package.

yes, I beleive you can have your cylinder too cold, but need someone with better knowledge to clarify that.
