should I get this ski?

Hey mine is only 5 hours away and after all the parts you have to add to that ski to make it a freestyle ski you will be spending the same amount.

bilge pumps
straight bars
footholds
turf
handholds
shortned pole
limiting rope
hood straps
Plus I can meet you in StLouis which makes it 3 hours for you. The wife and I go up there all the time.
Just razzing you I know that money is hard to come by. The only reason I could afford my ski is I sold my jeep. .. well and emptied the bank account :banghead: Anyway you look at it you will have a SJ that is all that really matters isn't it

I know I know yours is a just a bit higher than I want to spend. nothing is a done deal yet though so I am not counting it out.
Im positive. Its been on here and pwctoday a few times. I almost bought it, but decided it didnt look to be in very "well" upkeep condition. But im juding by the pics he sent me. I dont want to put words in anyones mouth..I never checked it out in person.

everybody must be looking at different pics than I am seeing, that is a pretty clean ski......... Price is not that bad either........
Oh, there is nothing wrong with the ride plate, intake grate and flame arrestors (running the same ones on my SJ for 2 seasons now with no issues, best ones I have had yet).
Turf is cheap, but you will be replacing them when you put in footholds.....
see if the guy will come down, if he wont, ask your self, are you prepaired to pay his asking price???? If so, the get it and enjoy.

I got my 97 for 2500. It needed cleaning in a bad way, but I think it was a decent deal. It has a B-Pipe, modded carbs, head, supposedly porting, Worx intake grate, prop, messed up R&D rideplate, umi pole spring and beat up FAs.
After I put on footholds, turf, rideplate and FA's, it is up to about a 2800. investment. I'll probably slap on some freestyle bars and UMI steering if I can find decent used parts. That will put me up around 3k for a pretty sweet ski.

Not sure, pulled motor when on got home to switch into black boat, Motor is fine, might need new o-rings in head but looks good otherwise. If it is electrical, it wont matter, going to T/L anyways.

I am Gil Williams and I LOVE MY SJ!!!!! I am now done w/it and have 4000.00 total in the ski. I talked to Brian the day before I was gonna buy a 07 SJ and saved myself 5000.00 on total investment. The 98 I bought had a type 4 I traded for a mod chamber B pipe, changed flame arrestors, re-turfed and a bunch of little nickel and dime stuff. I really was gonna buy a new 07 and then pimp it which would have been a total of bout 9000.00.
I feel if it's what u want-BUY IT-a good deal is perception/not reality!!!
I have had several people say I paid too much-u know what? F'em. Also had several say I stole it. I feel like I got a GREAT deal and LOVE my SJ and Brian was GREAT to deal with!
