shipping a hull

so, I bought a REV from WDK a few months ago and it cost me like 350 to have it shipped from OR to FLA...

now IM looking at having a hull shipped from Cali and seems like the price is closer to 550ish....

have the prices gone up THAT much in 6 months? or are there better options these days than forward air..???

a way you could make it a little cheaper is try to go buisness to buisness...residental delivers tend to be a little more pricey
ya didnt to oil just recently go over a hundred a barrel ???? that would not help your shipping needs

do you have a forward air hub near you? I was getting prices around $230.

if you want to have it sent to tampa (if it's cheaper) I'll pick it up for you and bring it out next time we ride.

California is a major Hub for Produce, rail shipments, steamship containers (ocean liners), etc.

Fuel has a little to do with it, but would not double your rate.

Rates are based on capacity and service. Freight from anywhere in the US into Cali is cheap. Freight out of California is more money because there is so much opportunity for freight to come home with, they can charge higher prices. Not to mention they take a hit on getting to Cali (often taking freight for less than market) so they can get into the market that pays to come out of.

Make sense?

NorthEast region is the same. Double the cost to go from say IL to NJ, than it is to go from NJ to IL.

Take it from me, any other questions let me know.

i tired a rate with PILOT...and it was MUCH cheaper

375.00 for ground transpo...but who cares..

Pilot was the one I used for my REV as well...I was thinking it was forward, but I guess was wrong about that..

The people at pilot seem much easier to deal with and are VERY nice
