Are you just talking about cutting the bottom out of the battery box dj?

Thats all the cheap stuff right there except for taking out the rear exhaust like subnsxr

Next step I think would be carbon fiber..

Cut out the tray, Take the foam out, and reinforce with two layers of 11oz Carbon on the inside of just the upper hull.... a stock hull is 150lbs... complete pig to put it nicely.... the lower is plenty strong as is.... take out the rear exhaust, and run front only with a light weight waterbox.

Alot of work, but if done correctly you could save a good 15lbs.

Stock roundnose pole is lighter then anything, but I suggest reinfocing the bottom with carbon after cutting it down to length.

Do all the other mods suggested as well.

Still Fat....
when i replaced the pole on her ski with the Dales handpole, it felt lighter, by maybe a pound or two
guess you'd have to ask yourself if that is worth the $$
her pole was broken, so we replaced it

I wish Dale made that handpole for the SJ
I think its an awesome handpole
