Agreed. I don't think I'll ever be able to come in Sept. That's when my boss and his wife take off to WA for a month.

Besides, 7 isn't too bad of a turn out. I'm sure more will show up.

And to think I was about to call Lynn to try to get him to come one more time. Nevermind that. He dosn't do surf anyway. He's a McQweeny snob now. Just kidding Lynn. Sry you had to watch your dog.

Anyways, BB and I will be out there this evining. His ski needs a little tweeking before we head out. Our better halves will be out there either tonight or tomorrow. Im bringing a bouey set I dug out of storage today. That will give us something to do if the surf is flat.

Dose anyone want to come to the hotel pool or hot tub tonight or tomorrow? What's the plan? We'll be bringing our share of Shiner. We'll have our suite availible or we can hang at the condo I guess. There are a several bars too.

BTW, Spunky is a rider too. She will probably ride since the surf is flat. That makes one more rider!

Y'all should know by now not to give Lynn a reaction when he acts like an a$$. That's why he does it! We are total McQueeney snobs but it works for us. To each his own.

Sorry we can't make it this weekend. I have an organized bike ride tomorrow (70 miles in 3-ish hours, wish me luck!) & the pup is still sewed up like Frankenstein so Lynn will be on stitch duty while I ride.

Have fun & take some good pics so we can see what we missed!

Were you trying to hide the cans or were they in plain sight?

I heard that they don't inspect cargo, but will look at it and pitch a fit if they see a non water can in the open.

We avoid the ferry if at all possible for that reason. Do you know what their beef is about that anyways?

Dude, double trailer on the hitch, one ski in the back of the truck, pit bike, stereo cooler, ez up, 6 gas cans, tool box, chairs, and some other little stuff....they were in plain sight. I was packed in the cab. After I got in bags were placed in the seat and doors were closed. We have to move stuff just to fit the liquor after a stop at the store. :wiggle:

Bill called beforehand and was mislead. Rule is two cans per car.

Important thing is we're here and ready to go....once some others get up! Surf is all but non-exisent too.

Been a great weekend so far even with minimal turnout. Yesterday was killer albeit no surf. Fun was had by all jumping tanker wakes and roller at the mouth of the channel. Seven skis which pretty much ran all day minus a hiccup or two. One injury but local first aid was applied. Only carnage so far is one chinpad (I'm getting good at breaking those off).

Riding was capped off by watching the UT-Tech game from the hot tub, thanks to Mr Bradshaw.

Today, after a slow start, we will head a little south to see what Packary channel holds. Melmack has put together a make shift buoy course if it's a bust.

Those who didn't make it missed some great riding!!!!!

Glad to see that you guys had a good trip and everyone was safe. Sorry for bailing, it was a $$$ issue. Im headed to vegas to race a Trophy Truck next weekend and taking time off is killing me. I will hit the next trip for sure!

This is the Port Aransas ferry, not the Galveston ferry. Both run by TxDOT, but have different rules.

The Port A ferry allows 2 gas cans per vehicle as long as they are 6 gallons or less. The Port A ferry is literally a 5 minute ride from one side to the other.

First they made us back the truck/trailer off of the ferry......

Didn't care if they had fuel, just said there were too many of them, limit is 2.
