Common Mick, SJ or Blaster, it's all about hangin' with the Texas crew and having a blast. We'll take you with any thing you can bring. There will be plenty of skis to ride and plenty of adult beverages to go arround at night. The Hot tob is calling!!!

Update on who's coming to LSFR from the GRR. We have at least 5 riders down for all three days. Possibly more Saturday and Sunday. A few do not post here anymore but they are very 'Famous' LSFR goers. We also have a slew of spectators coming out Saturday. You guys from Austin, Dallas, and Houston need to step it up to compeete with us this time. :moon: :flowers1:

Seriously though, if you are on the fence about this weekend, we all hope you can make it. I'm working my Arse off to get my Bannana ready for this ride. We are going to have great weather and maybe some clean surf. Not too big but better than a lake. There are several great night spots and we have a room reserved with a kitchen and living room to hang out in. Don't forget the super hot hot tub and pool!

PM me if you need the hotel info again. I will post up the hotel info and the beach marker # for us to meet at on Wendsday.

The committee voted, ride what you bring! If its to big you better not run our arse over or you will be banned from future rides ;) That said the waves are looking weak but there is a inlet where the BIG boats port and they make some monster rollers pretty regular. I am one piece of turf from finishing my build as well. Then I can assemble the dash.

Duckie and hubby won't be there. I already had the Sept 4 weekend marked out when y'all changed dates on me. Sorry. We had some fine apple cobbler, too (at OUR Port A ride).

Sry you wont make it. It's going to be a great time.

Bannana news flash!!!

Well, I managed to get some time to work on the ski today. I got started at 2pm and got the motor, the pole, all the fittings and latches plus all the lines fuel tank and exaust hoses in by 6. All that's left now is to make a small modification to the PSI pipe, some temporary turf and woola! Looks like the Banana will finally make it's debut. :bananajump::Banane09: It's about time. That was a lot of work. I still have to do a lot of little things like build a proper intake grate, paint the purple pole, and redo some of the pump housing area but all in all it is finished. I will take a few pics tomorrow once I have it cleaned up a bit. Still looking for some turf. Anyone want to donate/sell a few scraps to get me through LSFR?

One more thing of business:

We need to decide a meet up place on the beach. There are two options.

1. The first is to go just north of the pier on Port A beach. People can camp (IS ANYONE CAMPING?) there and there is a stretch where you can drive right up to the beach. From there it is a short ride to the inlet where you can catch the tankers going in and out. It is very close to the hotel and the comforts of town. The only drawback to this spot is the beach is dirtier there and there may be a lot of people.

2. The second choice is to drive down the beach to marker 26. This is where camping is allowed again(there is no camping between the pier and marker 26. This is about 15-20 blocks) This spot is less crowded and a cleaner beach. The drawback there is the drive back to town is 15 min by beach or 5 min by road.

I say we go down to marker 26. If anyone has a problem with that, please post up so we can change it or make it official.

The hotel we are staying at is http://www.tropicislandresort.com/

I can be reached on my cell 830-221-0033 if you need help or directions. I'll update my voice mail with our suite number where we can get together after a hard day of riding. Also, the owner of the hotel is giving us a discount on the rooms that is basically the winter rate as long as you let Ken know you are with me (Timothy Davis).

Please post up so we can make a decision on the riding spot.

Yes, there is room for you in the suite with us if you don't mind sharing a bed :smlove2:. Also, there are plenty of rooms available if we have more that decide to come. Looks like it will be you, me, SteveOwe, BByamaha, Eugeene and Jay Are if he isn't still sick. Saturday night will change as others are coming but we'll figure it out then. I'm not sure how early we'll be getting down there. Just give me a call and we'll figure it out. We'll Probably be down around marker 26 but check just north of the pier first. If the crowds are low,the surf is good around the pier but, you can not drive up close to the water right next to the pier. Also, if the surf is good, there will be a lot of surfers. The safe bet is to go to marker 26 at the end of beach acces road 1. Just look for the green square markers on the dunes. The numbers go up as you head south from the jetty. Or just look for the Jet Skis :banghead:. Also don't forget to pick up a vehicle beach permit at any local Port A gas station or grocery store.

PS: Anyone that wants updates, text my cell with "LSFR UPDT PLZ" and I'll make sure you get notified of any changes or major plans. 830-221-0033

OK roll call for me On the Banana! It's up and running. This thing is amazing. Waves or no waves I'm headed to Port A tomorrow to dip my banana in some salty water. If anyone wants to try it out this weekend, just ask. It's a great ride.

sorry guys, I wont be making the trip. I had the entire family headed that way but had a couple of things come up. Ride hard and take some photos.

Looks like everybody bailed. We get more riders out at McQueeney on a random weekend than are attending this "freeride"...Pathetic.

Not everybody. Things come up and people have to take care of them. Please keep your negative comments to yourself. Have you influenced this group of riders from McQueeney to come???

On a side note, several times in the past another location was discussed for LSFR. After this weekend two different locations will have been tried. Granted weather played a big factor for some folks not coming in March, but this weekend looks to be severe slim pickings on peeps. Port A is one of the places that was pushed so hard before......now small turnout. So, what I'm saying is Shawn let's get busy building!!!!!
