I'm not. I just saw that other thread and it got me curious. It is a hell of a ski, but it is a squarenose. So it just got me thinking. Alot of guys prefer the rounds

It is a hell of a ski, but it is a squarenose.

Is that a problem for you? It's a damn nice ski, setup to what you like.
I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it.
I thought I didn't like squares, but after riding one that's been properly set up, with good power, and a short pole, I would ride it.

I'm gonna take a stab at the price....5k?

I know...here's what I think. I don't believe you can ask very much for the hull. Yeah, it's got a nice paintjob, it's got nice accessories, all that. But you can get very nice hulled Roundies for 3.5k and up - including nice mods.

Its priceless if you have it set up the way you like it. I like my square and all and its in good shape but I really dont think I can get out ouf it what I put into it. Its kind of like when you buy a car and your so top heavy you will loose your ass if you traded it in. Your better off keeping it IMO.

Put it on ebay and claim it goes 65mph and has lots of protoype parts and start the bidding at like $8000.

Just kidding, but really that is a sick squarenose:woot: and i hope mine turn out as good as that.:Banane01:

Yup, everything is new on the motor and when you take into account the 700 carbs, $450 case porting job ect it comes out to 3800 w/o electronics.
Not questioning thats what you spent but Im also not saying you didn't pay to much.Heres the problem. Its still a square no matter what you have done to it. The person that would buy that ski would probably pretty much want it for the motor other than that its just a square with some cool mods. You will never get what you have into it round or square. I honestly think you could only fetch 4 grand for the whole ski and you might have to part it out to get that. I wish I could say you would get more but its just a fact. Dont get me wrong I love squares and thats pretty much what my whole crew rides but it is what it is. I even know someone thats putting the new ADA in there square:sneaky: but they still know they are doing it just for their own satisfaction and wont recover their money. Not trying to bust your chops on the motor but I know someone that just put a together 5 mil lamey pv stroker with ported and epoxied cases new rebuilt rad crank for less than 3 grand.

I hope you sell it for more and prove me wrong

Good points. And if I were to sell the ski they are all good considerations. Reguardless of whether or not it is a square I would not let it go for anything less than 8K. To much sentimental value I guess.........but you forget the is the Ultimate Squarenose we are talking about here :woot: :haha: I am sure you can build a stroker laemy for 3k but 4k was my estimate w/ the b-pipe, 2 ignitions (MSD TL and stock) ect. I my mind 6-7K would be a steal.

If you buy it for 45K I guarentee it will do BR's.......I will even deliver it in person and do one for you just to prove it (Lenzi replica boat joke)

Since you're not letting it go for less than 8k, I guarantee you won't have to worry about selling it.

its kind of like a car how much can you really sell a tricked out 1992 honda accord for?i dont care if you put 20,000.00 ion it. i have a square i built it to keep. because i know know one will pay even close to what i have in it.if your trying to get money part the whole ski out and keep the hull for it. id bet with out the handle pole you couldnt get 500.00 for the hull with pole maybe 500 -600

Probably get more if you parted it out. By a round hull and put your motor in. I'd be interested in the square hull. You gonna sell that Magoo ported cylinder, since you have the lamey on there?
