Ski is fine! :cheer: Cept not sure about the battery…I put a trickle charge on it around 3am, but maybe I didn’t have it clamped well…trying again. Bill (he’s really so cool :biggthumpup

installed a something or other, lol, oh…a flush kit w/ a quick release and taught me how to do it. Doesn’t appear to be leaking from any of the hoses, but he told me to dump it in the lake with the cover off watch if it takes on water from the hose running under the pipe. He said if not, then Nick called it right and I didn’t get the cover on properly! Speleo Scott, I asked him about the hood weathering or whatever it’s really called, but he said his is worn more than mine and doesn’t leak, so I dunno there. Plus you said you saw something else wrong, but I don’t recall what it was.
Anyway, here’s the story quick like kinda. I took the sj out two sessions, rode it over on the north break with the quys…didn’t fall once I might add if anything good. Then I went out the third session with Savannah Scott (one of my hero’s:bigok

…we get right in the hole with the sharks and I fall. It wasn’t flat anymore, it was small, but choppy/sloppy and I had already had my workout for the day I guess, for I was weak. I fell twice I think, but got right back on. Then I gave it gas, and watched myself slowly torpedo down…reason unknown to me at the time. Savannah switches skis with me, and tells me I can’t ride in the chop (instantly agreed). I had ridden his ski earlier (what a tight lil scream machine…I love it), but this time it took off about 6’ in the air when I was just laying on it (twice). I sucked in enough water to sink me, so when I finally got up on it, all I could think about was getting away from the sharks and to land, so, lol, I took off and left my wingman with my sinking ski of all crazy things (I was freakin)! I regained my composure b4 I got to the bridge and turned around to go back after him. I didn’t see him! I was thinking maybe he got it cranked and took off with the guys, but I kept looking (thinking don’t leave my wingman), and sure enough I found him WAY OUT THERE! Luckily two three seaters were coasting next to him (just staring at him like duh). I start pulling him with his ski, but it was so choppy we weren’t making progress with the ski full of water. Then comes Uncle Stricky:newangel: and all to help save the day. We hooked my ski up to one of the three-seaters (backwards we learned later), with the yellow tow boat hovering luckily. When they were towing my ski, you couldn’t see it AT ALL. It was trolling through the hole slow motion, so it’s new name is “Shark Bait”!
We get it on land, and everyone starts tinkering with it to save it luckily!!! So, after it sunk, it got torched too (I think Drea set Mike on fire, but I can’t recall, lol), all I recall is screaming “dive and roll” as I ran for the fire extinguisher!!! This ski was SO SO SO clean, I’m hating it! But, I learned more in one day around you guys than I have the entire time riding standup, so it’s cool I guess. I def became friendly with my ski when I got home, and Bill says it looks excellent on the clean end…he says it will be fine!
Thank you again everyone, you are all awesome

urr:. I owe two cans of ether to peps (Drea and someone) and then Speleo I owe you your plugs! Savannah, how is your ski? I owe you big time Sir! I know I offered drinks/shots to all, but my receipts to reflect it was all done, so I still owe and won’t forget. Who is the nice man with the dog named Sasha? Oh, and Gary from Winter Park made it home alright (the guy I was concerned didn’t make it outta the surf fyi…was his first meet and he had a blast with you guys…wants to do it again). Whomever said Sebby once a month, I agree (on the b1, unless it’s flat, lol). Yes Stricky, I’m on self imposed exile until I build the ankles up (they were on fire, but it is def a good workout…I love it)! Starting on the pics (mike shooting you a pm with my # so you can tell me how to do that deal with em).
