Sealing around the exhaust

Good evening gentlemen!
On the back of my SJ where the exhaust comes out, is that bracket attached to the whole exhaust pipe thats in the hull? And could I use 5200 to seal around to keep it water tight? Same question, for the shaft that the steering cable is pulled through? See pics. Also I grinded off my factory bilge pump nipples outside and inside of the hull, then filled them with a fiberglass filler, ok I'll admit it "Bondo":17: . What do you expect from a poor philly boy, I could barely afford a cheesesteak. Thanx fellas

there should be a rubber washer around the steering cable fitting, to keep the outside of it water tight, and a rubber cone looking thing on the inside to seal around the cable to keep the inside water tight...i'm using 5200 on my exhaust tube

5200 works, but you'll probably need to get it under the flange to really seal it. Drill the rivets out, and you can pound it with a hammer (use block of wood to keep from hurting the pipe) from the engine compartment a little to get the 5200 in then reattach/rivet it back.

I used 5200 under my flange - but I had mine out all the way, and was thus able to really gob it on there and get it sealed up good.
