How did I get here?

U pulled out the old, yet?

If not, don't worry about getting the new one in yet.

U should be able to use just about anything to get the new one in. Personally, I'd try a vise first.

I've never replaced a wear ring. All my advice here comes from supposition and theory.

I have only done one seadoo wear ring but the plastic one I replaced it with just dropped in (slip fit) I had to put in a couple sheetmetal screws to keep it stuck in the housing. To get the original out I cut through it (carefull not to cut into the housing) in 2 places lengthwise then just pulled it out (screwdriver helped).

This is about as standard as you can get for wear ring replacement.
