How do you get use to the salt water? Over the holidays my self and my boys went to Mexico and did allot of snorkeling. The damn salt water really takes some time to get use to. I would always have to have a drink handy to wash out my mouth and face.
My one boy age 11 received a good mouth full and actually made him get sick. Does the salt water just take some getting use to?

I love freshwater....but I never ever ride in it.

Saltwater does take some getting used to. Eventually it won't burn your eyes so much, and you won't even notice the taste. When I was in the military, I was never on a coast, so never went in saltwater. When I'd come home to San Diego, and go in the ocean, it always seemed worse than I had remembered it.

You will get used to it. The first time I had ever been in a fresh water lake was about a year ago. I HATED the taste. Thought it tasted like dirt.

I am happiest when I have a 2 day old crusty layer of salt on me. Y'kno when your hair feels like straw.

The wife thinks I am nuts.

That’s what I thought, you just get accustom to it. Man my eyes were red. Maybe that was from some other Mexican stuff. But that damn salt taste makes me sick by the end of the day. Wait that could have been something else also. Hmmmmm.

The biggest difference I notice (besides the waves) is my eyes kill me in fresh water. Not a problem in salt. I also feel slimier getting out of fresh water. You'll get used to it.

Yep, there's something special about salt, sand & beach. I love the smell of the beach. I love the smell of my towel after I've dried salt water with it. I hate scented soaps & dryer sheets, but if I could find one that actually had the salty smell, I'd use it.

It was the beach, which he proposed to Cal Yin Klein. In the episode The Pick Jerry's model girlfriend is in a cab when Jerry scratches his nose, but to her it looks like he is mining for gold.

I love the ocean...you will get used to the salt. I think I can remember when I was really young that it used to hurt when I opened my eyes under the water in the salt...but I have spent most of my life in the salt water....

I will say that whenever I was a little sick or anyting, I would feel much better after getting out of the water in FL...but out here, there has got to be more toxic sheot in the water cause if I spend a lot of time in the water I'm constantly a little congested...

All of our toxins ride the gulf stream and wind up on the beaches in NJ...

yeah.... florida east coast water is soooooo clean and nice. we are truley blessed w/ that... the gulf is nice east of the mississippi, but gets a bit raunchy from the natural flow west.... that's why Panama City looks so sweet!!!!!
