If you want to spend money on useless product, you can use salt-away. Realy its just a pain though.

I wouldn't waste my money on Saltaway. A good freshwater flush is all you need. If possible try to backflush the system.

rinse the hull, motor, take the end of the hose and cram it up against the pisser and run it for 20 sec... blow it out for 10 and go drink a beer..

I follow these procedures:
1. Back trailer into parking spot.
2. Mix a Beam and Coke.
3. Hook up hose, start ski, and flush.
4. Drink Beam and Coke.
5. Shut off water, shut off ski.
6. Mix another drink.

Rinse the pump and motor, those are the most important parts to worry about.

Even though Salt water is the devil your ski is not going to fall to pieces if it spends the weekend not washed out.

How can all you guys say that Salt-Away is a waste of money? I have been using it religously since I've been riding in salt water and have yet to even have the slightest hint of corrosion anywhere! I swear by the stuff :woot: Water will not break the chemical bond that salt makes with metal alone, but salt-away will :biggthumpup:

I have a bottle of salt away here I bought and never used .
Rinse motor ,pump,and hull than backflush through the pissers and than a coating of silicone spray which makes it harder for the salt to stick next time .I have zero rust and only go in saltwater.

Garden hose and a bucket of car wash, flush motor then rinse ski. Easy as that with no gimicks :biggrin:
