Tore my motor down. Found out that the inside of the cylinders had some major rust going on. its stock 84mm bore at the moment. 62T cylinders.
Look at the last picture. Under one of the pistons. I think the previous owner lost a piston and this is the one that only had slight damage, so he reused it. Crank bearings are fine, rods are fine, crank is fine. 2nd piston is like new under it. Signs of previous piston damage to cases are obvious, just scratches nothing major.
I FOUND NO METAL SHAVINGS OR PIECES IN THE MOTOR. NO SCRATCHES IN CYLINDER WALLS EITHER.
YES YOU CAN FEEL THE RUST PITTING, PROLLY .002-.003 DEEP.
Can I get away with same size pistons and just a good hone??
Bore or not to bore?? if so what pistons? Pro-X or Wiseco??
