Rounding out a square hull???

Anyone ever try to round their square? After looking at the lines of the square I don't see why you couldn't and I think it'd look way more kick a$$. Just rounding out the front and back of the hood and stuff would be sick. Possible? MAybe soo...

P.S. Hope you don't mind me using a pic of your ski boris. It was the first square I could find a pic of plus it's got a roundie pole, etc, so it fit the bill.

Ever see the front of Ronnys square? He rounded it, looks awesome. One of the best looking squares I've evern seen.

GDFL built a sick SN that was all rounded out. Search for some pics.

GDFL had a whole build on that one,you should check it out ,I saw his ski in person at the Southern Fried free ride it was impressive to say the least ,he got my vote on that one .

Thanks guys. I checked out teh build off thread and I saw that ski somewhere before but never knew it was once a square!!!!!

In my opinion that's what build off ski should be. Something insanely unique. A complete turn around into something different. That is one sick boat!!!

I have thought about taking some edges on the square and rounding them off quite a few times.
To me the square actually has a better shape than the RN but could use some work on the rear of the hood and the big a$$ nose bra thing should go.

That was Paul at LPW, He has a mold to make those I believe.

Hey golden boy what did you use to glass over your nose? I want to do something with my nose, not round it off, but maybe attatch my nosepiece better, or glass over. How did you get a smooth finish from glass without making a mold?

That nosepiece from LPW is sweet, i would definately run one if I could get one.

my buddy snapped about 10inches off the front of my old square..he wanted to ride the next day so we stuffed the hole full of bubble wrap and trash and started pouring foam...its somewhat round but looks more like a catfish than a Rn

I saved this pic off eBay. It was a squarenose hull being sold by those Twangled guys.
Not that pretty. Could be more rounded and not so flat.

Ronnie that has always been one of my favorite paint jobs. I liked how you used chrome vinyl then cleared over it. Plus your stickers were placed nicely and not overbearing.

Good thing you took pics because they never stay new...

IMO, the PS, and Ronny's boat are the only good looking skis in this thread. I'd rather have my square look stock than the others.

I still like thegoldenboy's boat the best. Ronny, the paint and graphics on that boat look killer! I like the way the Yamaha flaggish design is kind of blended in there with the chrome and all. Did exotic do all that?
