Scared to lean into it. I used to have that problem and would do the same thing. Lean into the roll, don't just steer into it.

Thanks for the tips, I kinda thought it was a bit of lack of commitment with the rolls, I find it hard to really throw my head into it. The 360 landings are a bit tough on the knees and ankles, so I'm not sure I'll be doing them deliberately once I get rolls sorted.

Heres where my BF attempts are at the moment

Yeah, that does look pretty cool! It looks like you meant to do that anyway. I'm no expert, as I rarely ride out of a roll, but I found that you need to let the ski go up, and your body go down, which starts starts everything off.

When I first attempted it, I was on smaller waves, and therefore learnt to put more finesse into it. It translates well to bigger waves too.

I can do that trick.... I actually did one a few weeks ago on accident... I can't do them when I want though... it's similar to a roll in the way you initiate it, but you don't lean forward, you kinda lean back about halfway into the roll brining the nose up and ass end around... very weird feeling motion and always ends w/ a flat landing

Wow, that does look cool though! Nice waves. You should see the crap we get here on Lake Erie. You guys are talking east coast, west coast. You should see the great lakes :banghead: but hey, at least we have waves! :arms:
Keep doing it man, you are an inspiration to the rest of us SXR new guys.
