Rod Bearing Failure Carnage

I blew my engine up. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The engine was running great on a couple high speed burst with no abnormal sounds and all of a sudden at 3500 rpm it stared losing power.

Then I heard two loud clunk noises and the engine seized up.

The rod on the front cylinder lower bearings went bad and it melted the bottom journal.

The funny thing is that I have yet to find a single needle bearing lose inside the engine.

I guess I'll find them inside the waterbox or they went out the tail pipe along with the thrust washer chucks.

wow!!!!!!!!!!! is the crank pin rusty?
 I actually had to go check that out again but no it's pieces of the trust washer that got chewed up lying on the pin.

I never have really had a real problem with water ingestion yet but I'm sure one day it will suck up some.

It looks fairly clean inside minus all the metal particles.
