Ride pants/gear

ok
well while in Sports Authority i was looking for something to use while in the water...
Loh-and-behold came across some baseball pants
found a size to fit my fat a$$ into
so... gonna try them on today

they have cuffs on the bottom so they hug the lower legs, long, but just perfect
sort of tight on you, but EXTREMLY felxable, also has a belt too and some innner knee and shin padding
i bought the SLippery UV shirt with the swich pants, so i'll use the shirt (don't like the pants that much)
i also have some new Jet Pilot boots, which seem rather nice too
so after today i'll let you know how it goes...

the pants (because of the black stripe) were $30, otherwise they had others onsale for 19.99, i see potential here

if these work, walking to and from the ramp should be easier.

Hey Don sorry to thread jack, and I know we've never met but theres about a 90% chance I'm heading out to Yuma area this weekend to ride the lower Colorado river (between Hidden Shores and Martinez). I'm heading out with the wife and kids so I'll need someone to ride with. I'll be there Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th. You up? Take it to PM's if you want to ride.

BTW:
the baseball pants worked GREAT
VERY comfortable, very easy to swimm in, very easy when i walked to refill in 115 degrees, and the new jet pilot shoes are really nice too

the other thing i got to help with the pants (not that i really needed it) was i added some suspenders for it, $7 from wal-mart
and works AWESOME
when i sub, i don't get the loose belt feeling now
really working out great, and no abrasions on the knees/shins
also very easy to swim with too

I bought fly racing pants end of last season. They zip off at the knees. There a little too baggy I feel an forget being able to swim in them...You feel like your being dragged under. Stick with the wet suit much much better.

How do the Fly pants fit? True to waist size? When they get wet does the waist stretch out or do the stay the same size as dry?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks

George

I need to get pants.
It's gotten warm enough to ride without a wetsuit. My legs right above my ankles are getting killed by turf burn.
