These are the answers i got last month when i was inquiring about a 2021 hull

Honestly I would not be scared of the carbon core. I built one this fall and it’s a very solid ski. I believe they are using a core like soric. The core is also only in the large flat panels of the sides and tray, not in the bottom. There are foam stringers that run the bottom. I also bought it because I wanted the larger intake. I am going to be a rocking it on Lake Erie surf.

Carbon I would be more worried about breaking. Glass in its physical properties can give a bit and rebound absorbing impacts. Carbon is very stiff but when it gives it goes and shatters. Personally knowing that would not want that in the surf. It is also not a good idea to mix then because the carbon loads before the glass.

Trying to identify the steering cable in my 2013 FS2. The sheath is Gray with no markings and it's 7.5" longer than a pre 08 superjet cable. I didn't build the ski so I'm not sure what's in there. I tried a pre 08 cable and it just BARELY reached so I'm not sure I'll run it as it may tension when the pole is moved. Any ideas of what cable I might have?

Seriously though has anyone ever heard of a Rickter that broke?
Chong son had an old 2010 fr2 that he sold the Brandon lawlor. I ended up with it but it had broken several times across the bottom and had been repaired several times. I never had to touch it.
A lot of talk about the newer xfs comp hulls falling apart in the rear.
I'm picking this one up here shortly

Found this info on lengths of that helps…
Thanks harbor!

After checking every sbt yamaha cable length it appears I've got some sort of sit down cable(only ones that are ribbed grey) in there approximately
127.75" long (one end is broken off and It piled up so I cant measure exactly) only cables I can find that's close is a 90-93 650 SJ measuring at 123.75". I've read every yamaha cable description and can't find anything even close to 127. Everything on sbt is either 90", 123" or 140" ish. I fitted a pre 08 SJ cable and it's BARELY long enough to mount with full length tubes, I'm leaning towards the 90-93 650 SJ cable that's 2.5" longer. can anyone confirm if these 650 square cables have been used in the fs2 hulls? Thanks again everyone

The 90-95 Square nose cable works.

Does anyone run the rear sponsons on their fS2 evo? What sort of riding? From what I know they put more pressure on the nose of the ski so the chines hookup more?
