REV foothold with enclosures pics

Did you have to trim the bottom lip off of these footholds to get them level with the tray or is the hold actually recessed enough into the side rail that it didn't matter?

No. I didn't trim the lip. I just pushed down and in til it was flush with the tray.

The hardest part was cutting them in by far. The way I see it just cut it out as best you can and fix the mistakes with resin foam and resin and cloth.

These beasts require 25mm padding way up your shin just in case. Just keep packing it on and grinding. Self stick 25mm is the best shizzle ever.

I do wish I would have moved the enclosures out about another inch so that I could have padded the inside better but I have slammed my leg all around and I feel no hard spots at all. The only thing that matters IMO is the shin and the ankle. I want 25mm ++ around them all the way.

I should have moved this out about another 1/2".

Their is still plenty of room but I would have like to have been able put a piece of 25mm in there.

We spent WAY more time forming this padding than we did actually installing the fotholds. It was just hard to get it right but next time will be a piece of cake.

The front of the hold rests on the exaust tube very slightly. They are touching though but I have done this before and at worst your toes get a little warm.

I moved my exhaust tube down so I could move the footholds up a little.

I was hoping to be able to answer that question but my friend who has the enclosed version is dragging a$$.
I want to give the enclosures a try to see if I like them better or not.

The turf was tough on the first side. Very difficult IMO.

We may have to rip it off and start over.

if I could go back I would put a little more fowm up on the top part of the hold. I still end up bruised a little after I ride. you can see how much I used in by build thread in my sig.
