seems like it would take more brains to make a new design over a copy/mold, but thats just me... haha.
I think he's saying they are an extra set the guy is selling, and that he doesn't have the ability to make footholds period, whether copies or new.

yeah they are revs, bought 4 sets and only ended up using 2 sets. I saw a few sets go on ebay for around that price so I was hoping someone by chance would buy my extra set for the same =D
