Replacing 46mm Carb fuel nipples

I've got straight inlet and outlet fuel nipples on my 46s which is annoying. I purchased 90* press-in fittings to replace them but I need to make sure nothing is super special about 46s that I can't or shouldn't replace them.

So . . . is there any compelling reason not to swap them out?

ive seen them have different diameters on the L that presses into the carb
but as long as it fits your golden
