SXR Removing stock bilge with Versiplug-R?

Location
Mesa AZ
I glued turf to the bottom of the bilge pump and zip tied the pump to a hose. It just kinda bangs around in there.

Think theres any possibility of adapting a bilge mount to work with it? I havnt seen that model in person so im not sure where screw locations are

Actually, with your stock hull, take out the tool kit, put a piece of turf down and use the built in bungee to hold the pump down. Built in bilge mount!

My only concern with that is that it wouldn't be at the lowest point in the engine bay. Debating about just epoxying the bottom of the bilge pump to the hull. I think the bottom filter piece on that model is removable so I could glue that down and still be able to take the bilge out if needed

The only water that gets in is what many SXR owners have told me is normal. Small amounts through the front of the hood when railing corners and doing subs. Just would like the piece of mind of having the bilge

Unless anyone has any positive input about the frogskinz vents. Seems I've once found that they restrict airflow and water at the same time

I would suggest (unless way out of budget) looking for a used Bullet, Trinity, or TBM hood. If you can afford it a new Bullet is a great choice. More air and less water with the benefit of a huge weight savings. I never ran a bilge in my Bullet or Trinity EVO. Trinity saw plenty of ocean riding too. Just a suggestion. Good luck and have fun man.
