Reinforcing sj questions

I am goin to be reinforcing my rn superjet and i have a few questions. it is going to be taking quite a beating so i want to reinforce it the right way the first time.

I already have 1708 knytex biaxal. how many layers should i run?

Do i grinds the ribs off the sides and bottom or add filler and make them smooth?

Should i also run a layer of carbon fiber? if so how many layers of knytex and carbon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

grand ribs, but don't go too low and take chunks out of the very bottom of the ski. Grind all that old green glue out of the bond line and use filler.

Per recommendations from Taylor Curtis, 1 layer of 1708 with 1 layer of carbon for sides...

For the nose and handlepole bracket areas I did 2-3 layers of knytex, and you can lay carbon if you want, but you can't see up there, so I wouldn't bother. Or if you use all carbon in the nose it might be a little easier to work with compared to the 1708 in those curvy areas.

Use a good sanding disk to grind the ribs and glue, not an actual grinding disk.
