I just got a mikuni carb rebuild kit and was wondering if it is simple to do the rebuild or is there any tips to be successful???
Thanks,

before I ever turn those philips screws I get the right size screwdriver and hit it with a hammer real sharply. That will usually break free any corrosion or fuel varnishing.I bet the check valve is in there. Sometimes they get stuck to the paperwork or the packaging. You gotta be careful when you open the package.
One thing that gives me trouble on carb rebuilds is the two screws that hold the piece that goes on top of the jets. I always end up having to extract them because they strip. No big deal but just something to watch out for.
a lot of times the "one" check valve is really two stuck together

Last summer my most frequent PWC repair was carb rebuilds. Most of them were in pretty rough shape.
