Freestyle Rear rocker ideas?

One idea I had was to take a cut like that SN has, but instead of just cutting the outside and blending it into the rib (what's the proper term strake?) of the ski, also cut the corner inside the pump tunnel the same length and then "rocker" the whole back of the ski. Looks like that SN only has like .5-.75" of rocker, if you did this with the whole back end, it wouldn't be extreme, and the ride plate would still mount, but .5" closer to the pump on the back end, so you'd need to make sure you have clearance.

you certainly have the right idea and i dont think its been done on anything but at the same time im not sure how it would ride/recover would definately be a cool ski

Ya, the only thing I'm worried about is planing afterward and having basically 2 planing surfaces. One between where the front rocker stops and where the rear rocker starts, and where the rear rocker starts and the rear of the ski. I'd hate to have a teeter totter effect on that transitional spot at high speeds, low speed, it would be plowing enough to not matter. My ride plate will only be 10" long with my SXR -3 cut.

Basically, there is 35" of front rocker, 40" of flat area, and 10" of rear rocker. I'm just so unsure of how it would handle with just the rear 10" of hull rockered. At least with the outside rockered like that SN, it has the same planing surface on the same plane as the flat, with some outside rocker. Maybe this is best of both worlds without being able to rocker the entire back of the ski from the end of the front rocker to the rear of the ski.

Your idea will create a lot of down force at the rear of the hull. It may be ok for slow speed riding and backflips only. Even a slightly bent rideplate will make a hull porpoise at higher speeds.

i had a bent plate on my sxr damn this thing porpoised soo bad wide open it looked like a green dolphin going down the river, it turned amazing but took me a little bit to figure why it was doing it,then i pulled the plate and the one corner was bent (worx dominator)

Sound reasoning. I'll scratch that idea for a rec ski, might be an option for someone's full freestyle ski.
