Re-turfing SXR

Hey,

I'm finally returfing my SXR with Hyrdoturf molded diamond and 25mm underpadding.


I was wondering if I should leave on the stock rail caps or get rid of them. If I decide to get rid of them, do I just turf right over where they used to be? Aren't there grooves there that will make turfing difficult? Should I even take them off?

I removed my rail caps, and Tom21 built up the grooved area where they used to be, then turfed over that. To be honest, that's a lot of work if you are doing it yourself and not all that experienced with turfing. If you aren't too confident, I'd say keep the caps and returf just like how the original turf was. Pics here:http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/24849

It's almost winter, Turf over them! I used the rail caps, not worth the money and or time.

I would take them off, fill in all the small dips and holes with either epoxy, or with under padding. Sand either smooth, then turf.
