Good start.

Rejetting and remove choke plates. K&N Pro Series Flame Arrestors. Impros Modified Dynafly 12/21 ( Believe that the pitch, they start out as a 12/22 and he repitchs and cuts them back 5mm +/-) R&D pump stuffer kit (These are 2 plugs that go in the back of the pump shoe to fill the voids. I had good luck with running split cooling. One line for the block and One line for the pipe. Dumped 3 lines overboard. This will keep the engine temps down during hotter weather, You will need to restrick the water going into the pipe some.

I would go in a different direction however Kahuna is admittedly more "in the know" than me.

I would pull the rubber trumpets out of the intake, add a wet-pipe (rejet accordingly), and a lightweight flywheel. I really like the stock prop.

If you don't already have footholds, do them now while it's cold. Do them now. Now dammit!

Well of course if you wanted a limited then go that way!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Stock Class prepped SXR's. They run for ever, they are plenty fast and you cannot kill them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At times I miss my SXR. I miss slamming turns, racing...................... But I know if I still had it, most likely it would still be sitting in the shop rarely getting ridden...........

Best power gain I found was adding a wet pipe! You will see a huge difference. I believe installing foot holds is a must as well.
But best bang for your buck is a pipe!

Need to watch out adding a head kit to much comp will tear up your crank.

The SXR's were a weird bunch. You may get one that had a head that gives you close to 170 lbs compression stock, and you may get one that only gives you 160. I had a good one. High Compression out of the box.

As just a recreational rider I may leave the engine alone. I think it makes ok power now. I have TBM intake grate and ride plate and rear sponsons on the way. I am hoping this will improve things some. Front sponsons? Are they worth the time and money. I ride on a mostly flat water. I really like to jump wakeboard boats wake.

rear sponsons will make it more difficult to get out of the water (jump). Unless you just like to carve, I wouldn't put either of them on there.

Wetpipe, flywheel & flow control valve...that's all you need as far as power goes.

YEP just a free rider, its been a solid motor, put a year on it stock. then bought the full system from factory pipe and adjusted/tuned accordingly. it runs awesome! for stock with bolt ons, I love that control valve, flywheel gives it that little extra.

on reason i was thinking of an impeller is the flywheel weighs 2.2 the stock impeller is 3.85 and looking for a little my bottom, c75 is 2.35 and can get it pitched to what i want

Or you can make one using the old sensor wire. Just cut the sensor off about 1-2" from the plug, solder the 2 ends together and dip in liquid electrical tape to seal it.

yea my ski is under warranty still so i dont want to touch anything that the dealer can possibly hold me too, anyone want to sell me the jumper??
