R&D pipe Broke

I cracked the R&D pipe on my RN today. The flange where the expansion chamber bolts to the head pipe broke clean off. I thought I had read somewhere on here that this is a fairly comon problem. Has anyone had this happen and welded it? I really can't afford to buy a new pipe right now. It's a dry pipe, how is it different than a wet pipe?

Did the expansion chamber break or the manifold itself? The manifolds are known to crack or break.

it was the manifold. I'm hoping that if I have it welded it that will be the end of it, but I'm afraid that this is just going to continue to happen.

they tend to break more in the middle of the manifold? if it it breaks there it is about a 1/2 day welding to get it right.

did it break the innner chamber as well?

I haven't taken the pipe off yet, but it looks like it was just the flange the broke. I'm really not liking the R&D pipe the more I look into how many people have this problem with them. For as much as they cost R&D should be doing something about this.

I have an R&D wet pipe on my 701, but I can't seem to be able to bolt the pipe to hold it down in any way.
