How does the r and d exhaust match up to a coffman or others?? I still cant picture how these pipes bypass the the stock waterbox. Does anyone have a pic of one installed??

Also can it run without the waterbox?? It would just be a little louder right? I am worried of water backing up into the engine when sitting in the water.

I dont own any 750's but the one I worked one and put a factoy pipe on was a 750sx I herd it doesnt matter if its and sx or sxi or whatever that factory pipe really brings them to life.

The R&D pipes worked great on the sx and sxi models. Not so good on the sxi-pro. It gave the pro great top end, but had no bottom. Coffman's also worked well on the sx and sxi's. They really didn't cange their designs over the years. the "rocket mod" was great for the sx, huge gains with little mods.

I really like the coffman in my 750sx
hits hard and can usually be found cheap
huge upgrade from stock without huge $$$ of a FPP

Its a 94 750sx, I am kinda on a budget for now so it looks like the coffman or R&d pipe for me. I do like how the coffman sits in the hull and looks like it connects to the oem waterbox.

R&D pro series pipes work good. you just have to set them up properly with the water lines, jetting, prop, etc.. personally I always liked the sound and response of a stainless chamber over aluminum setups.

There is an R&D pipe on pwc being sold by "pjs man" Yopu would just have to get the u-bend pipe to run it back to the stock waterbox. There is a u-bend on e-bay as well. The pipe says it's for the 650, but the it's the same as the 750.

looks like i missed that one........so with a r&d pipe, I should get a better prop and do I need to change the jetting?? I have a sbn44 single carb with 150/120 jetting.

13/18 or 14/19 prop depending on your other mods. Put the pipe on and try it before you start jetting, so you can get a baseline, then go from there. I think I saw a 650 R&D on pwc off an x-2 for sale on pwc.

if you already have a aftermarket prop, why not use that money towards a factory pipe? seems kinda silly to buy a pipe and then a prop too (unless of course you dont a stainless one) get a factory pipe and be done! it will rock.

if your really on a budget, and dont have a good impeller, then buy a nice impeller and modify your stock pipe. it works pretty well for the money (basically free).

I wouldnt run any exhaust other then a factory pipe on a 750. The have a pic on the website of it hooked up to a waterbox on a bench.

I concur. I switched my 750 from a Coffman to a Factory pipe it was the best mod i did to the ski. Save the extra cash and get the FP. I jsut sold mine for $400. Waternut on here has one for sale for the same price i think. I used a TDR waterbox but it will work with the stock waterbox as well

i put a 650sx jetpro pipe in my 98 750sxi pro.
it's works perfect.

i had to get a westcoast u-bend fitting from gordy30 on fleabay, a new long exhaust hose, and cut the foam (which was gone allready) out on the left side of the gas tank to make it work.

there's some pic's of this install back a few page's here on my 750sxi pro pipe install thread.

you can use just about any 650-750 a/m pipe or even a 650-701 yamaha pipe on the 750sx's too.
