i probably know the answer already but here it is: ok so im about to slap some tubbies on my new hull...on my last hull i used this stuff: http://blowsion.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=AWMA940SMP

worked great..zero issues after 8months of heavy surf abuse w/o screws...

anywhoo i picked up some 5200 slow cure..ive never messed with actual 5200..im assuming its basically the same thing?..or is the 940 better?

Does the 940 stay somewhat soft like the 5200 or does it harden up, or somewhere in between?

kinda soft rubber like the 5200 but does NOT mix well with oil and gas, tends to get super soft and come apart but for the tubbies should be perfect

FWIW slow cure is the "actual" stuff (best strength). It really takes like a week to fully cure. The "fast" stuff still takes like 24 hrs. In either case be aware that with a caulk tube, whatever is left over you may as well throw away because it will harden in the tube no matter how you try to seal it..
(don't know if thats the case w/ 940..)

I've got a never-opened tube of 5200 left over from last year and its solid. Almost broke my caulk gun trying to use it.
