Super Jet quick question on reversing throttle and start/stop switch.

Couldn't find anything on this...

I have some problems with my right hand right now that i gotta get checked out...in the mean time I want to keep riding as I've been out 3 times in the last 3 days and love it.

So I just want to move my start/stop to the right side of the bars and the throttle on the left side for a bit. I don't see how it could screw anything up but I just want to make sure before I snap a cable or something.

Yeah, that would be like trying to learn to write all over again with your opposite hand.... Well, maybe not that bad. lol

Maybe you should just get it checked out first before doing any riding, in case you just make it worse.

I never thought about that much. It will probably suck but I'd rather try it before not riding. As long as there are no technical issues with the reversal its better than the alternative

what he said ^^, if you cant use the throttle you probly shouldnt be using your hand. could be a tear or fracture both of which are better left alone for a few weeks. what does your hand do/not do

my roommate did this. he has right and problems also and hasent looked back hes happy with it that way but i cant ride it because im so used to my skis

I'm pretty sure it's carpel tunnel. Over exposure to the same repetitive movement. Between the computer mouse, my forklift at work, guitars, superjet throttles....its all kind of the same hand position.

Others I've talked to diagnosed with it get told not to use it ,put in braces, physical therapy, and eventually have the option for surgery. So at the very least I'll be doing some preemptive recovery :=)

Pretty much everyone I ride with has aftermarket hulls and at least piped modded and ported 701's so I doubt they'll be too interest in hopping on the ole' 6m6 square lol

It's a damn fun boat though. No way I can just stop riding right now!

Dude we have all done all of that (I'm a tech, I drove forklift, Korn has been jammin guitar for 20 years, and we have all been riding for 20 years) and none of us have a issue so I would let the Doc look at it before diagnosing yourself! You are way young to have CT IMHO!! Go to the Doc!
