How high above the bondline (waterline) should I have a bilge outlet? I guess its really not critical, but I assume as low as possible. Any strong opinions?

i put mine on my square at the back of the engine compartment and up near the top. if you go to low you will end up having water flowing in to the hull when the pump is not running.

It doesnt matter, as long as its above the water line. Put it where you want it or wherever it looks best.
Do keep in mind, however, that the shorter the hose path the better. As it is though the path is already pretty short on skis, so thats not really a big thing to worry about on skis.

Put it high up!! I sank mine because of low bilge outlet. Just make sure you can get a pipe on the inside though - measure twice, cut once....

I have mine at the wrong spot. Yes it is above the bond line but the hose nessary to reach all the way to the front of the ski and put a loop init requires to much pressure. So keep your exit close to the pump location, more flow. PS. Mark didn't I meet Madoyster on that ski purchasel.

Exactly. Also like what was allready mentioned, the shorter the run the better. On my square I put the outlet high up right in line with the bilge. It is out of the way of everything.

You can place the outlet low or under the bond line but then you have to run the hose from the pump up to the top of the hood and back down which makes your path that much longer. And if you do that you also have to drill a tiny hole in the hose at the apex so that it has an air break and it won't start a syphon and fill the ski back up when you turn the pump off.

Mine are up on top of the side rails, on the small piece of fiberglass between the front of the turf and the back of the hood. I use a 45 degree outlet to shoot the water over the side.

I am putting a pump into my 750sx.
Can I use the stock bilge outlet outlet for the pump?

NO the stock outlet is only 3/8 of and inch and the pump would be useless with that opening. (if your talking about the one in the pump) plus it works on it's own so just drill a hole and install a 2nd pump. Also there is another problem with the pump in the stock location the water would run back in the ski when the ski would be sitting in the water.

I hope you understand all that. it must be late or really early for me... LOL

On a Kawi SX you can just zip tie the bilge to your exhaust hose behind the battery. Then put the hole 2 inches below the hood and above the rail on the same side.

I always put mine up high. That way the water doesn't flow back in while you sitting talking to your buddies. Also high and to the back like mine keeps the hose out of the way.
