Question about water leaking into Superjet

Sorry I’m not sure what you mean when you say “op”. So sounds like what I need to do is take the entire assembaly with housing off, replace the o rings and coupler with an updated one, grease the splines, then put it back in?
Yes, to all. Since you seem to be new to this, consider taking a close up picture of the drive shaft splines that stick out through the bulkhead-before you wipe it off- and post it here.

Oh sorry one last question, do you know if it’s possible to get the mid shaft assembaly out with just moving the engine forward a few inches or does the engine need to come out?
-thanks for all your help

You can just move the engine forward about 4 inches, then pull off the midshaft assy.
My new coupler came in so I removed the midshaft and when I went to put the new coupler on it is to big (large of a diameter to screw onto the shaft). The midshaft housing says 63M on it and from what I can tell after looking online that is out of a wave raider or wave venture. So I am assuming I need to find a coupler out of one of those. If you have any info that might help or if I'm wrong let me know,
Thanks

Oops I just read through the rest of these posts and saw that you said earlier the old sn couplers had a smaller thread diameter. That must be what the problem is, I think I'll just try to plug that hole somehow rather than buying an entire assembly.

Here's a picture of the housing and a pic of the splines that you recommended posting here before I grease them.
The splines look fine- even perfect! Mid shaft is not an old small dia. one as mentioned earlier but a late model aftermarket- don't know what kind of coupler you acquired that wont fit.- could you take pics of both the engine coupler half as well as the new coupler?

yes I’ll get those pics, how can you tell it’s the larger diameter?

The midshaft shown in your pic has some annular grooves machined- that identifies it as after market and it only comes in one diameter "flavor"- the one that's been in use for 26 years . Diameter is a bit larger than the 90-91 sj -which likely were replaced ages ago.
