Question about stripped bolt

I have a stipped bolt in my case on my lamey. Was assembled last year and this summer it just fell out.
Is there any reason that I cant pull the motor and helicoil it without dissasembling the motor

Is it one of the cylinder bolts? (10mm X 1.25)
If it was...Sounds to me like it wasn't torqued properly. I torque to at least 36 Ft-lbs and they will not just fall out, if the threads are bad they will pull out when torquing up. (always check for proper bolt length too)

you will have to split the case, the cutting tool for the insert will be bigger than the half the bolt goes thru(lower half?)... you could cut it all the way thru to the other half but its not right...

I,m thinking I just lift the motor to get the bolt out and not wear a hole through the hull and leave it till I have to tear it down for something else.Theres like 12 or 15 bolts in there whats 1 less

Pull the engine and take it out till your ready to repair it. Its only 4 engine mount bolts, you'll be kicking yourself if it wears through your hull.
In fact its probably a good idea to repair it straight away. I'm sure if the crankcase only needed 11 or 14 bolts it would come like that.
