Super Jet Question about 760 motor

This last year I put a 760 motor in an Octane. I haven't had a chance really to run it and or mess with the tuning. I have an epic ignition, dual 44mm carbs, factory B pipe, high compression head, vforce reeds, and my mag pump has a low end impeller. My plug colors are good and it runs good. I just don't have any snap or power with it. My compression checks out good and everything is new or newly rebuilt. Any suggestions?

About a card board color for plugs and my spark is strong but not sure what the pop off pressure should be. I have a tester so I can check. Does anyone know what it should be?

Imo 62t cyl need 180psi and ex. port widening to have the kind of snap to make one happy. With the higher port timing of the 62t the cyl needs some tlc to get the bottom end snap we all love.

I messed with a 760 once and HATED it! HATED! You could send it out and have the cylinders decked to lower the port timing and then have custom domes cut ...or you could just get rid of it! Some people love them so let them friggin have it! Pop some 61x cylinders on it and you will have what you want. IMO.

I rode a octane in NY with a 701 in it and it ripped!

I really really really wish people would read a lot before going to these couch 760 motors. They absolutely suck IMO and even with porting and decking they don't pop like a 701. I hate seeing people go through the same crap that most people on the X already know.

The only exception to this when XS Chucky does it right, same process you stated but then all the transfers are wrong. Each transfer has to be worked by hand using a degree dial indicator...sj762 has one that hits like a ported 701, plus more power...
