Libel case "by" SBT ?

More likley case brought against them for 1st amendment free speech and civil rights violations. There is also the copyright issues of several members requesting their copy and images be removed. SBT's Admin has claimed it all now belongs to them and are refusing to remove it.

I myself have asked in writting for an explanation of why I was not given any warning and was banned permanently and without explanation. I was under the impression from reading one of SBT's Admin's own post that for a first offense you got a temporary ban and then permanent after later problems. I recieved no such "time out".

SBT may own that site but the rights guarenteed us by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights come way before the personal agenda of a small site's admin.

Before someone jumps in here and misconstrues this as a threat or libelous statement towards SBT, let me say this . . . . these are the observations of a private American citizen who knows what his rights are and has been down the road before on issues of First amendment rights.

I have no current intentions to persue this as a legal matter personally at this time, but there may be those who will . . . . . and rightfully so.

I personally believe that laws may have been broken and rights may have been violated . . . . . .that is JMO.

As far as the shirts go . . . . I kinda like:

I'm definately not taking SBT's side - cause I was banned several months ago

but it is a privately owned forum - therefore they have the right to allow or not allow whatever the hell they want to be posted on thier site.

YOU need to go and read the Bill of Rights again:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

I'm not going to debate Constitution or Bill of Rights here . . . . I'm a noob and already have ruffled some feathers, for that I apologize . . . . .

I responded to a comment about a possible "Libel" suit by SBT . . . . consider this if you've been banned:

Go back to PWCToday and look up one of your old posts . . . . Your a marked man now,by your name it says "BANNED" . . . . for all to see. Might just as well say "guilty" or "convicted" . . . . . were you fairly tried ? or in my case even warned ? NO. . . . . tried,convicted, sentenced and BANNED without due process. Doesn't get more libelous than that . . . . . .Wrong by anybody's book.

Go read the end of "Peaceful demonstration in London" and see how 11 baited and baited Mommar untill he realized that Mo wasn't gonna call him names so he fabricated a reason to ban him ! Truely one of the most childish displays I've seen since I was in grade school .

Anyway . . . . I'm gonna stop here before you guys give me the boot too.

you got no due process? Constitution does not guarantee from a private institution either. :biggrin: Are you really that upset over it?

I don't know how long you've been around...but Momar and 11 have been going at it when I first joined up at PWCT several years ago. Nothing new there.

To be honest, you may think it sounds cool to be banned, but consider that you don't have access to the good deals that pop up on PWCToday in the classified section. Recall savagethunder's huge lot of parts including the $500.00 PV Lamey a couple weeks ago.

We're a growing group and I am always telling riders at the local spots about us, but there are a lot more couch people out there and since we can use a lot of the same couch parts for our skis (motors, electrical, hardware, etc.) we should still show a little respect.

Being unfairly persecuted is never a happy experience for me . . . . . . go figure . . . .

I'll pay my fine or do my time for ANY of my actions in life but to be sacrificed to someone's small minded agenda without so much as a warning ?. . . . .yeah, I'm upset about. Others were even banned for comments they made "off site" . . . . wrong,wrong,wrong.

Mommar and 11's past history are no excuse for 11's actions . . . . . . he has abused his position of authority . . . . period . . .IMO

This wil not go well for SBTin the long run, they will see it in their bottom line and someday they too will remember it as "The Bloody Monday Purge".

Our constitutional rights just are not a factor in how they govern the site.. It's like any club where there's a membership. They reserve the right to let in, or boot who they want and for whatever reason they want...

I am not a member of PWC (and prob wont be allowed after this post). I was referred to this site as opposed to PWC, and I am a recent convert to a blaster. However, I am extremely principle oriented, and this has been an interested thread for someone such as myself (or anyone new to the scene). The scenario being painted for me is disturbing, and I am unfortunately outspoken. Happy reading. :noevil:

Well I started to read this whole thing but then I was like nah... !&($# SBT... lol I know I shouldn't have but oh well....

Yeah I got a few warnings but never banned. I did make a "slant eye" comment but all in all I wasn't being racist or anything. I truely think that the Japanese Makesaki X2 hulls are the freaking $hit! I really want one. So they made me edit my post. But I believe that was back when they first aquired PWCT
