Put-In-Bay Island Ride... What gives?

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I've tried to get people to come out for the ride for the past 2 years... last year we had a couple people come out which was fun... about 8 skis I'd say... this year it will prob be about the same... I've tried talking it up in the thread but it seems nobody is interested in going... its a really nice place to ride, awesome bars and live bands, winery, and great campground/facilities... and many other housing options...

Is it the cost of the ferry ride? do people not know what Put-In-Bay is?

The ferry isnt bad if you split it between 2 or 3 people... I pay the whole thing myself each year and dont think twice about it...

So what gives? Just trying to see if I should continue to try to get people to come ride.... I would be more motivated if a few more people wanted to join... its just tough getting almost no new response than what we had last year...

Me personally.....its just to close to home to trailer to and then ferry over and then ferry back. Oh...and I don't drink and that makes me a felon on that island. And I'm married which makes me a loser on that island...lol..

Too much going on. There's RocknRide, WaveRave, AND this ride so close together. We all have work/family/friends/life to deal with, which make it hard to drop everything and go riding every other weekend. I'm with MadMat. I don't drink, and I'm married. I don't even like camping. So unless the waves are HUGE, it's not nearly as good as riding at home with friends.

PIB is a killer location, (although expensive!)

I'd say move it to June next year away from Rock N Ride and WaveRave...you'll get a bigger crowd. Too many rides for me to hit them all....but we could use a good mid june ride!
