Pump shoe 144 vs 148

Putting a 148mm pump in my ski don't know if I should run a 144mm pump shoe or a 148mm anyone ever notice a difference?

No 148 shoe that I've seen..... i opened up my 144 shoe to 148 with a sanding drum in my die grinder until the bores were even pump to shoe, no step...

I used the pump as a comparator to check progress. You just lightly sand and keep the drum moving

iirc there are some shoes that are close to 148 but they still need finishing to match pump opening.

Did not try it, didn't want the 2mm step creating Bubbles. It's not hard to sand it.... but if your going to skip it, maybe at least put a radiouse on the edge so it softens the 2mm step

148 pump done right is miles better than a stock pump and even a 144 solas mag.....it kills in surf riding...you won't ever go back...so just sand out that pump shoe properly
