i recently pulled my solas concord 12-15 to try a skat swirl 13-17 with wamiltons mod. i have more mid and top, but the bottom still takes a bit to load up. should i keep the skat swirl in? or have my solas re-pitched back to its original 13-17, or 12-16? or? or?

this may potentially save me a few hundred dollars.

61-x 701. ported cyl, b-pipe, msd enhancer, water injection, dual 44's, 144mm blueprint pump. stubby cone.

any advice?

who would you send it to?

I'll trade you a skat-trak swirl 12/17 3mm cutback race finished and balanced for your Solas Concord 12/15 if it is in mint condition.

Here is the skat, used it 1 time.
Comes with impeller tool.

i appreciate the offers, but i would really like to figure out what i need first!
a trade does sound a lot better than sending out for re pitching.
my prop has two seasons on it, but i'll be darned if it doesn't look nearly new.

it would seem to me that you concord 12/15 is gonna give you the greatest amount of bottom en out of the you have. Why would you repitch the concord back to 13/17? Wouldn't you be losing bottom end?

Everyone is forgetting one big factor, your nozzle size. Is it stock or bored out?

I'm at 85mm with freestyle cone and Concord 13/16 with a LPW 760 turning it. I would imagine you want to be slightly below that with less displacement, and if you're running a stock nozzle, even lower.

On the Skat, I'm not sure what pitch swirl would be the equivalent.

The Concord 12/15 might be ideal with your setup if running a stock nozzle size.

the 13-17 i am running right now seems to have the same bottom end, and more mid to top. my ski has great mid. maybe i should quit messing with it. it's not a flatwater ski, even though i do ride flatwater as regularly as surf.

my top speed with the 12-15 was exactly 50mph gps

my nozzle is bored out, haven't measured it. i didn't do it.

I can only tell you that I had concord 12/15 a while back, and that thing cavitated pretty bad, it had great snap right of idle, but if you go from 1/4 to 1/2 or full throttle, it will cavitate. I swaped that with 12/17 skat and never looked back. My motor is not even ported; it's got pipe, voforce reeds, carbs spacers with stock carbs, RAD flywheel, ADA head (170psi), and bored nozzle.
