Primer fitting question?

I am in the process of installing a primer pump. I removed my choke rod and have a plug for one side of the throat and the barbeb fitting for the other side. Was just wondering how I keep the fitting and plug in place. Should I use red loctite, ping or pinch the sides of the choke rod holes? I would hate to have the fitting or plug fall out. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't get the hammer thing to work without bending the fitting so I just put the fitting in a drill and rotated it around some sand paper to file it down bit by bit until it fit nice and snug.

From JSS website:

13. With holes properly sized, install fitting in desired location. If fit is a little to loose, clean the holes with acetone and apply super glue to the fitting before installation

From JetSkiMechanic.com:

If you want you can add a small amount of lock tight to the outside of the brass fittings before you install for that perfect install, but they should press fit right in place.

I know I read somewhere that people have used JB Weld, but I can't locate the source right now.
