no.... on this subject my mind is pretty made up... I have put a lot of thougt into this particular issue... We have no chance up against MX, BMX, Skateboarding.... They steal all of out fresh bait... Any sport that costs as much as Freeride/Freestyle is gonna fail. A kid can go buy a deck and trucks for 150$ and rip it for 3 months.. I spend 150$ on oil and gas in that period of time.. It's not an easy sport to be involved w/... You have to really love it.
Item - cost - operating time before overhaul
BMX bike - 500$ - 2 years
Skateboard - 150$ - 4 months
MX bike - 2k$ - 1-2 years
Freeride/Freestyle ski - 5k-30k$ - 2 years
you do the math.... and on top of that you have to have money for fuel, oil, o-rings, grease, and several other items to keep the ski running properly..
