Dolphins hang out just outside the harbor in Oceanside. They will cruise next to you for a while as long as you are not playing around with the gas a lot. I had a pelican come down and fly within 5 feet of me for about 45 seconds once. I thought that was pretty cool. He was almost close enough to touch, just gliding right next to me.
