Super Jet pressing shaft off pump

I am replacing the pump stator on my 2001 sj with the solas mag setup. I have it pulled apart, just need a little guidance on pulling the shaft out. Can I leave the prop on the shaft when I press the shaft out pressing from the exit direction? The manual seems to show pushing the shaft out from the prop side and letting the bearing come out with the shaft, then you press the bearing off the shaft.



Is it possible to press the shaft out from the pump exit side while leaving the bearings inside the pump stator and the prop on the shaft?

Nope, check the FAQ setcion or tech section for pump rebuild

u can but it is will screw everything up when it finaly gives and comes out

I am getting ready to do this today as well but am a little confused and cant seem to find a good thread on the rebuild process. If anyone has a detailed write up please post it. I have searched for a while and can't find one. Thanks.

got mine out with a hammer. needs to b pressed out spline side

Get the prop off first,the spline holding tool is a must have,then just press it out.
