That thing is perfect for me. I could care less about ultra crisp image with go pro HD. There's no way I'll ever she'll out 3-500 for a GoPro setup, but I'd kick out $100 for this if I could protect it. I guess I'm showing my age from a different generation (X) but I dont care about video'ing every minute of what I do.

I bought a GoPro to do just that...It's just in the editing aspect I lose interest. I have 50 hours or so of footage but don't wanna sit in front of my computer and edit it down when I could be doing something fun. My GoPro ($200) and multitude of accessories ($150) sits on a bookshelf now.

That or this here SJ4000 would make a great GoPro alternative. I personally think i like the picture better on the SJ4000. GoPro's to me can make a beautiful sunny day look not so sunny. Here's a link to a nice long review if anyone is interested. You can buy them brand new on ebay with a bunch of accessories for $100 or less. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

It even has "SJ" in the name lol. And a built in "backpack" that cost big money for the GoPros. I'll probably be picking a couple of them up this winter.

These alternative options are good news. Go Pro's are so over priced that every one's afraid to get the crazy shots in fear of losing there cameras. Donating a $100 Polariod to Davy Jone's locker is a lot less painful than a $400 Go Pro! I just might start making some new vids!

I nearly bought a GOPRO 3+ some time ago, I want to mount mine on the hull and but I the Cold Fushion did not make a mount for 3+ the last time I checked.

Wow, I have seen the polaroid now for as low as $85 @ amazon and $65 at ebay. I probably order one just to check it out!
