piston-sleaves damaged what would you do

was doing a high speed run engine shut off. engine way to hot to the touch. ada 35cc head. may have been to lean. high low settings.
engine starter would just spin piston stuck
this is what i found.

pics dont work

but both pistons messed and the rings melted to the piston, also the sleave is all scored up.


what would you do

should i do porting now. whats the best plan of action.

oh and the sleave doesnt line up with the port holes.?

depending on the severity of the damage you will need to at least bore and hone the cylinder and get new pistons. It would be a perfect time to send your cylinder off and get port work done also. I would send it to a reputable shop and get it done right


you may want to pull the flywheel cover and take a look in there.... i dont think its good that your starter is just spinning

i live by jetworks im sure they can do it all. prob just give them the ski and they could put it in there tank to make sure all is well after.
any idea on cost for the port and pistons and new base gasket.

after i removed the head and manually pushed the piston down it unlocked it and then i pressed the button and they went up and down., but then i notice that i was in bad shape. lol

It is normal for the sleeves to be seemingly misaligned in the 61X cylinder.
Get Art to do you boring & honing for you, and have him get pistons.
While you're at it, have him do his port work magic for ya.

i think thats the best plan.
by the way i was running 45-1 yamalube. the plugs we black and very dry and they were new. also the pistons were black. am i lean or high low messed up.
second thought art could fix that stuff too,

update

jetworks is doing a 1 or 2 oversize bore with new pistons. Also he is cleaning up the carb and intake manifold.
im not porting due to limited class racing. could always do it down the road.
