I am putting a hi comp head on my SJ
and was wondering if the water outlet on the front of the head
were connected to a pisser if it would help cool the head?
the stock one had this capped with my ProTec pipe.
Anyone?
Thanks!

that 2nd outlet is for dual cooling.

if you have 2 lines comming in, you must have 2 going out. yes, then you can take one right out the side of the ski. ( extra pisser),

if you only have one line comming in, then you should only have one line off the top of your head. in your case, the one that goes to your pipe. if you take a 2nd line off your head, with only one coming in, you could over heat.

I don't think it would overheat,I don't think it would run any cooler either, all you are dealing with is pressure,if the restriction on the lines is the same the same amount of water will come out of the head but will be split between the two lines ,the pressure on the two lines will be lower than the pressure would be with just one line coming out.:nono:

this is confusing . . . .
there is one cooling line going into the head.
there is a small ~1/8 inch nipple capped off on the front of the head.
there are no cooling lines coming off the head.
the water flows into the head, through the holes in the head gasket to around the cylinders and then out with the exhaust
So there is NO cooling line coming out of the head, either to the pipe or the pisser
Stock, there is a little line going from the head to the exhaust but it is capped off when a a/m pipe is installed.
I thought it might be a good idea to add a pisser from this outlet to throw heat overboard from the front of the motor.
So when I install this head, do I just cap off the from outlet (like my stock)
or should I add another pisser, maybe with flow restriction?

I thought the hole with the cap in it stayed capped unless you are running dual cooling. The other has a nipple in it ,you hook up the hose on the back of the head to that and block off the small nipple on the front of the head as before. All nipples, plugs, hoses etc coming from the head are water exits, the cooling comes in at the bottom of the manifold or pipe, runs through the manifold into the engine and exits out the top of the head.I see you have a flush kit you can also uncap the one hole and use it for your flush kit ,with the appropriate nipple installed of course.:woot:
