If your going to build a XS1000 for flatwater you going to use the Power Factor Dry Pipe! Same set up Lucas, Pat, Stoyer, etc are running.

Brian at Thrust has a PFP on his Dasa powered Rickter, nice set up for Flatwater.

Can someone explain to me the diff between a mod, limited and any other type of pipe that might be available? The pros and cons of either.

Opinions on these are like buttholes....

But here are the facts:

Mod chamber is shorter than limited. Makes is easier to install, especially in shorter hulls like a Rickter.

Factory Pipe says:
Q. Can you run the modified Superjet chamber on a stock cylinder (non-ported)?
A. The modified chamber is 1-1/2" shorter than the limited chamber. Running it on a stock cylinder will most likely provide better top end but will sacrifice some performance in the bottom & mid-range. Separate chambers are available from Factory Pipe if you would like to experiment with this application.

Then to make things even more complicated several places modify the stinger outlet size (make is smaller?) and bore the manifold/head pipe union area larger.

Overall they are great pipes that are very forgiving of bad tuning.
