I waited to see if PayPal snuck their $2500 fine back in for violating their user agreement. And they did. Looks like I’ll be deleting my account.

Any alternatives that are not associated with PayPal and are not owned by a bunch of commies?

I’ve given up looking for an alternative. Anything financial seems to be lefty, other than Gab payments, which no one uses to my knowledge. It’s sad and frustrating. I just don’t do anything that’s not cash, for the most part, and I use Apple Pay occasionally when that’s not possible. But that’s not really a solution, just a stopgap.

Well, if you’re a seller and perform fraudulent activity having repercussions isn’t so bad. Maybe it’ll hold sellers a bit more accountable.

The problem is idiot buyers, can you imagine selling a small item, someone complains then you end up with a $2500.00 fine for selling a $10.00 part , no thank you.

I do not believe this will be the case. This is if they do their investigation and find a fraudulent seller. Just just one the whim of 1 complaint for a $10.00 item.

Also read the fine print, $2500.00 is the minimun fine. Paypal tends to debit your account first then ask questions later

Just so you know I used to sell a lot of stuff on Ebay, I bought out a Yamaha dealer, a Seadoo dealer and an Artic cat dealer and liquidated the parts there, I had a situation come up where Paypal took 600.00 out of my account, no warning , no nothing, I never received the money or the parts back, my bank account is no longer tied to Paypal,.

Ordered some bike parts a year ago, Got a phone call from Paypal warning me of possible fraudulent charges. Was able to cancel the order. Turns out it was a legit company. They sell from US, but parts come from Taiwan. Took a few days to get everything clear. I know about the horror stories also.

Read 2F. Tell me that is very vague and can be interpreted any way they see fit. This is the issue I have.

Yes it' appears they took a few pages out of Facebooks playbook, thing is Paypal is not a free service, neither is Facebook as you are paying by letting them invade your personal space and your privacy, but with Paypal you pay money at every transaction you make with them.

I think a good stop-gap (for now) is to link my PayPal account to an account with a zero balance. When I transfer funds to my bank just move the funds around. Unless is just not that easy.

Yes they take the balance then they go after your linked bank account.
