My paypal account got haccked.
3 payments of approx &9.00. They were set up for "recurring" payments.
Talked with paypal, all 3 companies overseas.
I had no dealings with them.
The paypal rep that I spoke with said that they usually get into your account because you used a same/similar password on another account.
GUILTY!
I had the same password as my e-mail.
Paypal has already reimbursed my account. The charges were fraud.
But, I'm told, these people do a "test" of a small amount of money to make sure it's gonna work......then you get hammered.
Same passwords are easy to remember, but can bite you in the a$$!
I'm not too web savvy, But this is not a mistake I will make again.
Luckily, I caught it quickly and paypal was really good about it.
