My paypal account got haccked.
3 payments of approx &9.00. They were set up for "recurring" payments.
Talked with paypal, all 3 companies overseas.
I had no dealings with them.
The paypal rep that I spoke with said that they usually get into your account because you used a same/similar password on another account.

GUILTY!

I had the same password as my e-mail.

Paypal has already reimbursed my account. The charges were fraud.

But, I'm told, these people do a "test" of a small amount of money to make sure it's gonna work......then you get hammered.

Same passwords are easy to remember, but can bite you in the a$$!

I'm not too web savvy, But this is not a mistake I will make again.

Luckily, I caught it quickly and paypal was really good about it.

yep. Your EMAIL password has to be a unique password. Once someone has your email hacked they've got everything. I have my email password and then a few other passwords I reuse for a bunch of different sites.

I agree. There is a thread about this somewhere on here, may have even been me that posted it.
